This post is a bit out of sequence, but a car was a huge deal when we were growing up, and in the early days they arrived shiny and new, and eventually got passed down as kids grew old enough to drive. So we jump 8 years from the clunky old grey Vanguard to the sleek, sparkling, cream and brown Holden FE, made in Australia in the 60’s.
The kids L to R: Peter (10), Alan (8), Dianne (5), John (14).
Eventually this became John’s (Drake’s) car.
